List of Best Travel Hair Dryer to Pack for Trips And Travel
1. Conair 1600 Watt Compact Hair Dryer with Folding Handle; Dual Voltage; Blue
Don’t think the compact look of this hair dryer fools you (it was meant to use for travel anyway.); Conair Compact Hair Dryer impressed us by being the reliable hair dryer that you can use while on the go (travel, going to the gym, or perhaps a quick touch up while on your way to a big event), and conveniently made to be foldable so it needs little space for storage.
Come sin dual voltage, this lightweight hair dryer works (weighs only a pound or so) to dry your tresses gently that you can choose in two different speeds and heat settings, perfect for all types, length and textures of hair.
The downside though, that being a basic, on-the-go hair dryer means there are no additional accessories comes with the package, unlike other models in a similar range.
2. Revlon 1875W Compact & Lightweight IONIC Hair Dryer, Pink
Revlon is no stranger when it comes to creating excellent hair care products and this hair dryer model is no exception; Revlon 1875W Compact & Lightweight IONIC Hair Dryer is affordable price and yet works powerfully to dry out even the thickest and/or longest hair.
Come with two different heats and speed settings and the mode includes with IONIC TECHNOLOGY to reduce static and frizziness, a handy feature if your hair tends to get unruly after a few hours outside. A Cold Shot Button mode included in this model, to set your hair for perfect, long-lasting results.
This hair dryer also comes with a detachable back cover that you can remove to clean out the lint, and the cord length is adequately four feet.
The downside is the model is not in dual voltage unlike other brands, so if you’re planning to use in places where the voltage output is not the same as in the States (say, Asan or European countries.), you need a voltage converter along.
3. Andis 1875-Watt Fold-N-Go Ionic Hair Dryer, Silver/Black (80020)
The sleek hair dryer Andis 1875-Watt Fold-N-Go Ionic Hair Dryer rivals Revlon IONIC hair dryer. It’s small and yet works powerfully as a professional-grade hair dryer.
The advantage of this brand compared with Revlon is it comes with three different heats and airspeed (in nano-ceramic technology) for total, precise control, as well as a concentrator button that you can focus the hair drying at a specific area of your hair. In short, you get tamed frizz and static, healthy shine, and well-behaved hair after a dose of Andis.
The overall product design is nothing short of excellent; with retractable cord and folding handle for easy storage (the cords won’t get all over the place.). Is there any downside? For a travel hair dryer, no. The color is decent, and the only gripe for the most heavy user is the package didn’t have extra accessories together.
4. Revlon 1875W Compact Travel Hair Dryer
Considered to be the higher level of the previous Revlon model reviewed and a direct match with Andis 1875-Watt Fold-N-Go Ionic Hair Dryer, Revlon Compact Travel Hair Dryer is a powerful machine that gently smoothes out frizziness, dries the hair thoroughly, and keeping the hair in healthy shine.
The compact-designed hair dryer comes with a two heat and speed setting and cool shot button same as the Revlon IONIC, but with additional 3X Ceramic Coating Tech to reduce frizz and damage to the hair when drying. The package also comes with a Smoothing Concentrator Attachment that you can focus drying on a specific area.
To put it simply, Revlon 1875W Compact Travel Hair Dryer is a robust beauty gadget that you can rely on as a basic hair dryer, and yet works wonderfully wherever you go.

5. Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
What’s not to love about the uniquely designed hair dryer like Dyson? Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is considered to be a powerful and quiet travel hair dryer that produces the strongest airflow to dry hair in a matter of seconds. In fact, most users considered it to be the fastest compared with other models (especially Revlon).
The lightweight hair dryer works to not only dry the hair evenly, but also tames the frizz at the same time, and giving he tresses a healthy shine. Come with three different speeds and four different heat settings for total control and includes a cool shot to set the whole hair.
And what we love the most is drying the hair can be super effortlessly with their magnetic attachments that you can snap in and out breezily while styling. Since this Dyson is not marketed for travel/on-the-go use, it makes sense to include a couple of accessories in the package such as a smoothing nizzle, styling concentrator, storage hanger and a non-slip mat (and of course, this also means that this hair dryer is slightly bulky for travel.)
The price is indeed far more than other hair driers we reviewed here. But for the features it gives, we are definitely blown away with this hair dryer(pun intended.)
