Things to Look For When Buying a Bounce House
And when it comes to looking for the right indoor bounce house for your home, several issues/factors need to consider so the kids can enjoy using it instead of letting them waste.
The overall size of the bounce house is the main factor to consider, as it relates to the space in your home that you can spare. Do you plan to set up at the backyard, or content to have it placed in the garage? If the garage is your choice, take the ceiling for consideration, especially if you have school-aged kids that are in danger to hit the roof when using the bounce house. If the backyard is what you want, what’s the exact space you can spare without having them rubbing or getting poked by the fence?
Does the indoor bounce house you’ve chosen uses electric? It’s because the bounce house needs constant air flowing into them to help the bounce house keeps its shape, as well as preventing from the house toppling over, endangering the kids.
And of course, the characters, colors, and shapes of the bounce house also play a role, if you have the children involved in choosing their indoor bounce house. Read right here what we’ve compiled, the best choices for indoor bounce house perfect for both parents and the children.
1. Little Tikes Inflatable Jump ‘n Slide Bounce House w/heavy duty blower
It’s no surprise that Little Tikes Inflatable Jump ‘n Slide Bounce House tops the list for ur review – it’s practically a big hit for parents looking for the most versatile and value-for-money bounce house for their kids!
The set comes with a heavy duty blower and a long extension cord for your convenience, and the whole setup can be done in minutes – a huge advantage if you plan to stow it back in the storage after the kids are done with it.
This model states that the recommended number for kids to jump in the bounce house is three (age one to five) but most parents say that even a few five-year-olds can jump inside the house and still it won’t break – a good sign that the material used in making this bounce house, will last.
We love the bright colors, the mesh wire attached at the sides for safety and protection.
2. Blast Zone Magic Castle Inflatable Bouncer
The Blast Zone Magic Castle Inflatable Bouncer comes in close second to Little Tykes. The set received quite a high number of good reviews from the parents as it’s versatility and sturdiness for child’s play.
The bounce house makes a good impression with us as the material used is high quality and very likely to break (a commercial grade vinyl), mesh on all four sides for coverage, and stitched together with quadruple stitching for security.
Comes with a blower, anchors, and storage straps.
The Blast Zone Magic Castle Inflatable Bouncer has plenty of great reviews and is great kids bounce house choice! Because of its 8 foot height, it makes a great indoor bounce house and can also be used in the backyard. The manufacturer recommends a max of three jumpers and there is plenty of room for just that for toddlers and preschoolers. Once you get school-aged children inside, 3 can get a bit squishy as older kids are also quite rambunctious. The blower is included, as well as storage straps and anchors.
3. L.O.L. Surprise Jump ‘n Slide Inflatable Bounce House with Blower
Girls will love this bounce house (and boys would probably just jump into it anyway) as it provides ample space, bright colors and three side mesh for safety (another idea to have small balls for extra fun). The whole design is a simple main area with a wide slide that kids can climb into the area, and slide out for fun.
Parents purchasing the bounce house notes that its virtually easy to set up, as well as inflates (and deflates) rather quickly, making using and storing a breeze. Not to mention the high-quality nylon and vinyl used for the bounce that it is able to handle sharp jumps from the kids (one parent mentioned they had this model for a year). In fact, the manufacturer states that this bounce is suitable for three to ten years, with recommended three kids for maximum fun and space.
Comes with a heavy-duty blower (to connect with the bouncer at all times to keep it inflated), a storage bag, stakes to anchor the bouncer (if needed), and – get this – a repair kit!
Honestly, it’s the repair kit that caught our attention (apart from the bright, cute colors); you never know when the bounce house get poked and teared up that a repair kit can definitely be your lifesaver.
4. Intex Jump O Lene Castle Inflatable Bouncer, for Ages 3-6
Shaped like a castle, it’s a dream for kids imagining for a medieval -theme play. Intex Jump O Lene Castle Inflatable Bounce House is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The box-like design of this bounce house is perfect for some security as it prevents the kids to jump aimlessly, as well as ensuring the kids (and the toys) stays in one place. If you’re thinking about a cover as a shade, putting a piece of tarp over the bounce house also helps, thanks to its box-shaped design.
A rather compact version compared with other bounce houses, the make recommends 2 kids jumping in one time (s opposed to three you usee in other models). but seriously, there’s one review that shows a picture with 13 adults fit in the bounce house and it still didn’t rip to shreds – we honestly think that’s definitely a good sign of high-quality material used.
Plus, we love that you don’t have to have the bouncer to stay connected with a blower for it to keep inflated, but at the same time, a number of users commented that the bounce house deflates rather quickly especially if the kids are jumping vigorously all the time.
5. Little Tikes Shady Jump n Slide Bouncer
There’s nothing shady about this bounce house, Little Tikes Shady Jump n Slide Bouncer tops our review list as it’s a better version than the other Little Tykes bounce house we reviewed – it has a roof!
The roof in our opinion is huge selling factor as bounce house normally used in spring and summer, the roof makes a good addition to provide a nice cover for the kids to play outside without getting sunburned (compared with other roof-less models, a couple of user resorter to purchase an extra canopy to provide ample shade for the kids to play).
And yes, the roof can be taken out if needed. This bouncer is also suitable for indoor use which we think is perfect for parents planning to use the bounce house all year round – outdoors for spring and summer (thanks, roof) and indoors during colder months.
Surprisingly, this model can handle big kids up to eight years old, with a total weight of 250 lbs. For that, we honestly think this version of Little Tykes is a solid choice if you want certainty for the kids to use and the sturdiness the bounce house comes with, that makes it reliable for all-year use.
Comes with a blower, a storage bag, stakes, and a repair kit.
The only downside is the brand only provides a 90-days warranty for the bouncer, as opposed to two, three years for other brands (which we have no idea why they’re so wide in margin).
